Ghee Putharekulu (Bellam/Jaggery)-Dates and Dry Fruits

A traditional sweet delicacy from Andhra Pradesh, a coastal state in South India. It is known for its unique preparation method involving thin layers of rice starch. The process includes making a batter from rice, spreading it into thin sheets, filling it with a mixture of Dates,  ghee (clarified butter), cashew nuts, almonds, Pistachios and folding it into a rectangular shape. Putharekulu has a crisp texture and a sweet taste, making it a popular treat during festivals and special occasions in Andhra cuisine.
